A sign in a window says something a mailer never can. It says a neighbor put it there.

Every button, every yard sign, and every window card in this town got there because somebody decided to put it there. That is worth seeing, and it is worth sharing.

If you are wearing a Vote Elise button, holding a sign, or have one up at your place, take a picture and send it over. We will post it here, so San Juan can see who is standing together.

These are neighbors, business owners, and friends from around town, at the launch party and out on their own streets since. Tap any photo to see it larger.

The launch party

Fun was had by all.

On Sunday, August 30, 2026, this campaign started the way we hope to continue it, in a room full of neighbors. Thank you to everyone who came out to Inaka Fusion on Third Street that afternoon, to the guests who drove down from Morgan Hill and Gilroy, to everyone who wore a button home, and to everyone who has put up a sign since.

Some of these faces have been part of San Juan Bautista for decades. Some are newer here. Some do not live here at all and came anyway. All of them showed up on a Sunday to talk about what this town can be, and that is the whole idea.

Around town

Signs in front yards, cards in shop windows, buttons on the job. This is the part that happens after the party, and it is the part that people actually see when they drive down the street.

Take the picture

A phone photo is perfect.

You with your button, your sign in the yard, your card in the window. Nothing needs to be posed and nothing needs to be professional. The whole point is that it looks like a person in this town, because that is what it is.

Indoors, outdoors, at the shop, on the porch. However you want to be seen.

Windows count too

Third Street is the campaign trail.

You do not have to be in the photo at all. A sign in a shop window, a card taped to the glass, a placard in the front yard. Send that instead if you would rather not be in the picture yourself.

Business owners, this is the easiest way to say you are with us, and it costs you nothing but a little glass.

If you ever change your mind about having your photo up here, send a note and it comes down. No explanation needed.

What we have

All of it is free. Just ask.

Yard signs go out across town in the fall. Tell us your street and we will bring one by.

Buttons are easy to hand out and easy to pass along. Ask for a few and share them with your neighbors.

Window cards fit a storefront or a front window and take about ten seconds to put up.
